Monsoon arrives:Heavy rains begin in Ahmedabad, two days of heavy rains forecast in several cities of the state

More than 100 talukas in the state received rainfall in 14 hours on Friday

With the onset of monsoon in the state, there has been a general downpour. Most parts of the state have received light to moderate rainfall over the last two days. It rained again in the afternoon after torrential rains in some parts of Ahmedabad on Saturday morning. 

After rain in areas including Ghodasar, Isanpur, CTM in the morning, it rained in areas including SG Highway, Vejalpur, Makraba in the afternoon. Rainy weather was witnessed in more than 100 talukas in 14 hours from 6 am to 8 pm on Friday. The meteorological department has forecast rains at several places in the state today and tomorrow during the next two days.

Two days of rain forecast across the state
According to the meteorological department, the monsoon has covered the entire state of Gujarat and now the monsoon has reached Kutch. Rainfall is forecast in many places in the state today and tomorrow.

 In which 2 days heavy to very heavy rain is forecast in Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka. While other areas may receive scattered heavy rains. The meteorological department has also warned fishermen not to plow the sea. During this time the wind speed can be 50 to 60 km per hour.

Good monsoon forecast
for second year in a row Good monsoon is expected in the state for the second year in a row. As of 8 am on Friday, the state has received an average of 32.83 mm of rainfall so far, which is expected to be 3.91 per cent. Excluding normal rainfall in Kutch zone alone, North Gujarat zone recorded average rainfall of 3.40 per cent, Middle East zone 3.96 per cent, Saurashtra zone 3.01 per cent and South Gujarat zone maximum rainfall of 4.86 per cent.
