, according to a notification issued by the DGCA, which allows airlines to offer cheaper tickets to passengers who travel without items or only with cabin bags. This item will be announced at the time of ticket booking. At present a passenger can carry a cabin bag weighing 7 kg and a check-in bag weighing 15 kg. In addition there is a charge per kg for extra weight.

Based on the feedback, the DGCA said in a notification that basic fares are likely to be cheaper , adding that many of the services included in the ticket do not require passengers to travel.
