Zong Shanshan has overtaken Reliance Industries Ltd chairman Mukesh Ambani in terms of net worth in Asia. Mukesh Ambani's total net worth now stands at .9 76.9 billion due to the continuous decline in RIL shares.

Zhong Shanshan, 66, is known as Lone Wolf in China. Before starting his own business, Zong also worked as a construction worker, journalist, health sector and water sales agent. Zhong was born in Hangzhou, China, and dropped out of elementary school during the chaos of the Great Polytechnic Cultural Revolution. Zong founded his own beverage company, Nongfu Spring, in September 1996. The company launched its first packaged drinking water in 1997. Nongfu Spring's revenue in 2019 was 3.4 billion, up 20.47 percent from the previous year. The company raised 1 1 billion through an IPO.
