Supreme Court gives green signal to NEET-JEE exams, says year cannot be wasted

This time more than 20 lakh candidates have registered for both the exams

New Delhi. The Supreme Court has rejected the petition filed against the planning of NEET and JEE exams. At the same time, the planning of the examination has been given the green signal. A bench of Justice Arun Mishra has rejected an application seeking postponement of the Medical Entrance Examination (NEET) and Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE Mains).

Students from 11 states had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking not to hold JEE Mains and NEET exams. In the petition, Daad demanded that examinations should not be held in the midst of the Koro epidemic in the country. At present, not enough examinations are held on the scheduled date.

More than 20 lakh students registered
This time more than 20 lakh candidates have registered for both the exams. The application said that sitting in such a large number of students could increase the risk of spreading the infection.

Students are waiting for the admit card
Millions of candidates are waiting for admit cards for both these exams. Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had also released a National Test Study App for candidates preparing for JEE Mains (JEE Main 2020) and NEET exams. A complete question paper will be available each day for the JEE Mains exam in the National Study App.
